The circular panel depicting two allegorical figures on a leaf and foliate encrusted ground, signed E. W. Wyon January 1848. Possibly Oberon and Titania of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Presented in beautifully carved, period, gilt wood box frames with maroon felt backing and under glass. Exhibition label verso.
