A fine pair of Italian antique engravings one marked with G.B.Cipriani, F.Bartolozzi.
Francesco Bartolozzi RA was an Italian engraver, whose most productive period was spent in London. He is noted for popularizing the "crayon" method of engraving.
The other is an unmarked classical scene, both in period ebonised wood frames with labels to verso for J.Middleton , frame maker, gilder and mount cutter. 231 King's Road, Chelsea.
Both pictures have some areas of foxing to the paper and one is not laying completely flat in the mount.
Measurements: 23cm height x 20cm wide.
