Stunning signed lime on teak background sculpture of a sea bird by Wharton Lang.

Amazing detailed lime wood carving on teak background in relief.

Extremely collectable, Wharton Lang is now an honorary member of The Royal Society of Marine Artists London, and was a member of the Society of Wildlife Artists as well as being a fellow of the Royal Society of Artists.

Examples of his sculpture are in permanent exhibition at several museums as well as religious work in churches and convents.

A carving in relief of the "Castle of Mey" was presented to Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother in May, 1967.

Measures 87cm in height x 59cm wide, signed to the bottom right hand corner, superb condition.
