Here we a have a Victorian Toleware coal box with front hinged, painted panel featuring a King Charles spaniel, c1860.
The painted metal coal box has gilt detailing, ceramic handle and sits upon four ceramic casters.
Overall good condition, the base has had restoration and a new tin plate fitted inside so that coal dust does not spill out. The painted panel is in excellent order and colour. Ideal for open fires, multi fuel burners or used to hold kindling.
Measurements: 43cm in height x 32cm wide x 48cm deep.
