A fine Svend Bayer Wenford Bridge studio pottery large Dish.
Made from salt glazed stoneware and stamped with potters mark. Externally finished in a mottled brown colour and internally has a muted green slip glaze.

Svend Bayer (b.1946) Described as Michael Cardew's best pupil. Bayer studied at the University of Exeter from 1965-1968 and began work at Wenford Bridge Pottery with Micheal Cardew in 1969.
