Here we have a stunning and very large original oil on canvas painting by John Ash (1926-1999).
Featuring a rather glamorous lady and her King Charles spaniel in a grand drawing room. Surrounded by beautiful furniture, patterned wallpaper, artworks and drapery, she perches upon the edge of a large primrose sofa, dog at her side.
This large picture really draws you in to her space making you feel part of the room, instantly transporting you into another world. The colour pallet the artist has chosen is beautiful and warm without being overpowering.
The canvas is framed in a large, solid wood frame. Signed by the artist and provenance purchase receipt from the Lander Gallery Truro.
Condition - The painting has some small areas of paint loss and cracking in places as shown, although appears stable and does not detract from the piece. The frame has two minor chips to the outer edge.
