A fabulous and extra large example of a studio pottery vase by John Beusmans of the Carn Pottery Cornwall.
This angled form vase is finished in a blue and copper wash with an abstract angular pattern to one side and crocus design to the other. An unusually large and rare example, it has a brutalist feel to it and makes for a real statement piece as well as being highly collectable. Superb condition, signed to the base.

Founded by John Beusmans in 1971 Carn Pottery is based at the Old Chapel at Nancledra near Penzance. Carn's instantly recognisable abstract and naturalistic designs and colour ways reflect the rugged environment of its manufacture.
