Set of three graduated earthenware pipkins, early 19th century.
These beautiful little pots were used for cooking directly over heat from hot coals or wood fire. They have a great rustic look to them and charring to the outside from genuine use. All three are un-glazed on the outside and glazed on the inside.
They would make an excellent addition to a country, farmhouse style kitchen and are becoming rare to find.
Overall in excellent condition for their age, some nibbles and and cracking to internal glaze as to be expected from a working cooking pot.
