Antique painted wooden waste paper bin.
Constructed from solid wood in an octagonal form, decorated on each face with a potted flowering plant, repeated scrolling design with red and gold border in the folk art bargeware style.
This item would also make an excellent umbrella stand.
As shown in the photographs, some of the painted sides have areas of wear and loss to decoration.
